Corrections especially. If a specification here is wrong, telling us is worth more to this site than a purchase.
That is the only address we use. Gem & Gild is a national publisher with no storefront, no showroom and no phone line - there is nowhere to visit and nobody to call, and we would rather say so than list a number that goes nowhere.
What we would especially like to hear
- Factual errors. A wrong micron figure, a misquoted regulation, a material described incorrectly. Include the page URL and the specific figure and we will check it against the source.
- Dead or changed products. Listings disappear and get replaced. If a link goes somewhere unhelpful, we want to know.
- Questions the site does not answer. Genuinely useful - it tells us what to write next.
- A listing claim you cannot decode. If a product description has you stuck, send it. That is the entire problem this site exists for.
What we cannot help with
- Order and delivery problems. We are not a retailer and we have no access to any order. Anything you bought was bought from Amazon, and Amazon’s support is the only route to fixing it.
- Valuing or authenticating a piece. We are not appraisers or gemologists and we will not pretend to be. A local jeweler with an XRF machine can answer “is this solid gold” definitively in minutes.
- Medical questions. We report what materials contain. We do not diagnose skin reactions or advise on healing piercings - a dermatologist or your piercer is the right person.
- Paid placements. We do not sell them at any price. See how we make money.
