What none of these are
None of them are an investment. Moissanite and CZ have essentially no resale market; created sapphire has none; lab-grown diamond has a thin and weakening one. If the money needs to hold its value, jewelry is the wrong instrument and we would rather say so.
What all of them are is a way to have something beautiful on your hand, and on that measure the cheapest hard stone here does the job for the price of a takeaway.
The setting matters more than the stone
Whichever you choose, the failure mode that actually costs people their stones is a bent prong in a soft setting - not the stone itself. Sterling prongs bend; gold and platinum prongs hold.

Do all diamond alternatives get cloudy?
